Everyday is Bitter and Sweet
This post is not my usual tone but it is one that I want to get out in the open. If it inspires just one then I know I have done something good.
Today it came to my attention that another designer Christophe Coppens decided to close his company. ‘So what’s so different about that’ you say. It is not just the general ‘Closing business. Goodbye’ cold notice we have become accustomed to of late, but a blog post that was sincere, gave reasons why and sad. I give him kudos for being so open about his plight because that is exactly what is happening in the fashion industry at present and I hope that this does change. It must!
I will always champion, inspire and show the new and independent through my social networks and word of mouth, because that what the market desperately requires and needs to wake up or be left behind.
Everyday is bitter and sweet. It is easier said than done but try not to dwell on the bitter. If you have to let something go do it fast and whatever sweetness comes your way celebrate it loud, no matter how small.
Find your Groove. Protect your Soul.

Its always sad when people have to close their businesses but it should never be seen as failure, It should be seen as part of the learning curve of trying to establish your own company. Independents just have to keep going for the sake of the industry. He can come back again, and he should. I am sure this is not the last you will hear of Christophe Coppens.

I hope to Therese because to many talented people are not getting their fair share and time to shine. People need to be open and try. I am also sure this will not be the last we hear of Christophe:)
