Assouline’s The Impossible Collection of Fashion

I would not envy any one the task of having to decide what 100 dresses to deem as the most iconic of the last 20th century to place in one book, but Dr Valerie Steele, described as one of  ‘fashion’s most brainiest women’ by The Washington Post,  has accomplished what others would consider impossible or probably have a mental breakdown. Having organised more than 20 exhibitions spanning over 10 years, the director and chief curator at The Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology, I salute Dr Steele for having crafted something of a wonder.

Just one thing though. To buy this beautifully edited deluxe coffee table book at Assouline is an ‘O‘ to the ‘M’ to the ‘G’ $650.00!
