The after party. Plus Art Projects Neon +Vinyl

Hosted at the immense Londonnewcastle Project Space on Redchurch Street the exhibition theme was of course neon and vinyl. Plus Art Projects  showcased 55 pieces of works all tiresomely well curated by Kerry Ryan, Declan McMullan and Jessica Temple. Works included the established and the prominent such as Tracey Emin, Sarah Lucas, Damien Good & Gavin Turk. My favourites by far were Luke Morgan’s ‘50,000,000 Elvis Fans can’t be wrong(it actually works and all were sold) and Amanda Eliasch’s ‘Neon’

Attended by art collectors and friends such as the internationally acclaimed art duo Tim Noble and Sue Webster, Plus Art Project put on an array of  upbeat entertainment to celebrate the closing of its successful show officially lasting until 4am

Music sets from Joel Marcus, Gavin Turk and the mighty Arthur Baker got the ball rolling. The Fabulous Lounge Swingers put on an enjoyable rag time, swing performance, with a great rendition of ‘Footloose’ that got me moving.

Having motor mouthed with many people and ‘shaked a leg’ to great tunes, I left around 11.30pm. It is now midday Saturday and my partner has yet to come home. I am sure he and the diehards continued into the wee hours and are ‘lean’ to say the least.
